I joined the travel industry in 2018, but have had the travel bug since I was 14 and went on a group trip to Scotland, England, and Wales. I love to travel and will jump at the chance to go, whether it be to a hot springs a few hours away, a trip to Disney World, or a side trip to Iceland.
When I married a man who can't see, some thought I might cut back on travel. We did the opposite. We discovered ways to accommodate our different needs and traveled even more.
During that time, we were living in Colorado and I found several relatives were afraid to visit us because of age-related travel issues. The idea of how they could make it from Kentucky to Colorado filled them with stress. Through these different experiences, I realized how many people are missing out on travel adventures just because they don't know what kinds of options are available to them. This led me to create my own travel agency, Stress Less Traveling.
I have researched and become certified in traveling for people with special needs. These can be the needs of anyone: slow walkers, families with young children, people with disabilities, the elderly, people who are pre-surgery or post-surgery, and more. The categories are endless, and there are solutions for almost all. I find great joy in helping clients go places they didn't think they ever could.
I believe there is no need to limit oneself unnecessarily. It is my goal to help alleviate the stress of travel and help people experience all of the adventures they can. If you would like me to help you on your next trip or would just like to learn more, please reach out to me at (970)222-0914 or Dana@StressLessTraveling.com. I would love to hear from you!
